CR300 don't responding for RS232 or USB communication

sbo Jun 29, 2016 03:04 PM

i received a CR300 logger and start testing it with a LP02 on analog diff port. Scan at 1s and store average, max/min internal temp and battery every 10min.

After a while, the logger don't respond anymore, the communication stops and have to shut off the logger to connect again.

no response

communication failed

The logger don't crash, it is still logging data correctly but the communication ports are not working (USB or RS232).

I also realize a timestamp bug: Timestamp bug, it should be: "Quarta-feira, 29 de junho de 2016".

I search for a new OS version but i didnt find any link for.

You should be able to find a link to download the CR300 OS from the CR300 support page.  In case you can't, the link is https://www.campbellsci.com/download?dl=dlf&au=0&dlid=368  If you have not already done so, I would strongly recommend updating to version 2 of the operating system.

With respect to the devconfig data monitor panel issue that you describe above, this appears to be specific to the Portuguese/Brasil locale.  I have been able to duplicate the scrambling shown in your results but only when the PT-BR locale is selected (it might happen with other Portugues locales but Brasil is the only one I have tested).

yes, i didn't found the link before because the csi Brasil version website don't have it.

After the update, i can reconnect to the datalogger, but the error of lost connection after leave connected for a while, like 10, 15 minutes still occurring, its not a big issue, just to inform you guys.

About devconfing, you are right, the pt-br version have this problem but i never realized before with other dataloggers, i will check with a cr800 later i report here.

thanks for you attention, really appreciate it
