Satellite comms BGAN Cobham Explorer 540 with eg CR1000 with NL121

Hi,

Can anyone share any advice regarding configuring a Cobham Explorer 540 BGAN satellite unit to work with eg a CR1000 via NL121?

Is it recommended (or necessary) to use a fixed LAN IP address on the logger?

Fixed LAN IP address on the BGAN?

Or can DHCP be used?

Do I need to forward port 6785 from the BGAN to the logger?

The SIM will have a public static WAN IP address, but with a firewall to restrict access to and from certain IP addresses on the WAN, and we'll initiate communications from LoggerNet.
