I have a clent with an old Chromatograph or something similar that only writes lines of data to a PC.
Is there a way to retreive this line of data from the file on a PC into a CR1000X so it's included in a databse with the rest of his data?

Not a lot of detail here, but here are some thoughts.
To retrieve a line of data residing in a file on the PC, you would need some software to extract the data from file and make it available to the CR1000X.
Alternatively, you could try to intercept the data being sent from the old device to the PC. Tap the old device's serial transmit and ground lines into a CR1000X serial COM port. In other words set the CR1000X to listen in on what the old device is sending the PC.
