Overview
The SP5 5 W solar panel differs from the SP5-L only in its cable termination. The SP5 is fitted with a special connector that inserts in a mating power connector on the ENC200. The SP5 is typically used as a recharging source with our CR200- and CR200X-series dataloggers.

Detailed Description
The SP5 solar panel captures solar energy via a 72 in.2 surface area. It is only suitable for systems with low power requirements. Sites must also have good exposure to sunlight.
The SP5 differs from the SP5-L only in its cable termination. The SP5-L cable terminates in pigtails that attaches either to the data logger's terminals or a standard power supply. In contrast, the SP5 cable terminates in a connector for attachment to the ENC200 enclosure.
Mounting hardware consists of one 17492 U-bolt and matching nuts. The U-bolt has a 5.398 cm (2.125 in.) space between the U-bolt legs. This hardware allows the solar panel to be mounted to a 0.75-1.5 in. IPS pipe [25.4-50.8 cm (1-2 in.) OD].
