The actual load on the mast can be approximately 34 kg (75 lb). If there is a lot of ice on the guy cables, they would need to be re-tightened more frequently. Campbell Scientific recommends checking the guy cables at least twice during an ice season. The guy cables should be positioned a little more vertically so that the ice doesn't pull them down so hard.
